As Blue Chip Macro’s Managing Director, Mr. Gottlieb is responsible for developing strategic plans as well as building and maintaining an effective management team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara and has an MBA from Indiana Kelley School of Business. Prior to Blue Chip Macro, he was a Principal at G&L Realty Corp. and a Bond Trader at Bank of America. Mr. Gottlieb is a prolific Angel Investor and has a portfolio of companies he has invested in and advised.
Rick Norris, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
As Blue Chip Macro’s Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Norris is responsible for overall investment policy and portfolio management. His focus is on high quality blue chip companies, macro-investing, derivative strategies and technical analysis. In addition he is an Angel Investor and heads up Blue Chip Macro's business consulting. Mr. Norris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors in Business/Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the UC Santa Barbara and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1999. Prior to Blue Chip Macro, he gained experience as an Hedge Fund Analyst at Evervest, an Auditor at Arthur Anderson & Co, an Officer in Mergers and Acquisitions at Bank of New York Mellon and as a Portfolio Manager at Pacific Coast Investments. In addition he continually advises past Angel Investments.

Preston Poulter
Head of Commodities Research
As Blue Chip Macro's Head of Commodities Research, Mr. Poulter is responsible for all research on commodities. His experience and focus is on oil and precious metals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Southern Methodist University. Prior to Blue Chip, he was a commodities trader and investor in oil wells. He is also author of the book "What Do You Mean My Money Is Worthless?"

As Blue Chip Macro's Head of Trading and Research, Mr. Evans is responsible for the execution of all large block stock and option purchases and sales. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Cal State Northridge. Prior to Blue Chip Macro, he was a professional trader for over 20 years.
Monica Hernandez
Portfolio Manager
As Blue Chip Macro's Portfolio Manager, Ms. Hernandez oversees all investments and is responsible for compliance and reporting. She holds an Associates of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Ms. Hernandez has been with Blue Chip since 2007.
